Ramdas ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our") built the QuickText WA app (the "App"). The App is free to download and is fully functional for 30 days with no advertising. After that it is supported by advertising, and an optional one-time in-app purchase is available to remove ads permanently. This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.
QuickText WA does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers, except as described in Section 5 (Advertising).
All data entered in the App, including phone numbers, messages, favorites, and templates, is stored on your device using Android SharedPreferences. We never receive it and have no access to it. If you have Google Backup enabled on your device, Android includes this app data in your device's standard backup to your Google account — see Section 9 (Android Backup).
The following data is stored on your device for App functionality:
The App uses WhatsApp's public deep linking feature (wa.me) to open conversations in WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business. When you tap "Open in WhatsApp", the phone number and optional message are passed to WhatsApp via a standard Android intent. Please refer to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy for information on how WhatsApp handles your data.
The App integrates the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK to serve advertising, and Google Play Billing to process the optional "Remove ads" purchase. Other than these, the App does not integrate any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.
The App requires the following permissions:
android.permission.INTERNET): Required to open WhatsApp deep links (wa.me URLs), to serve advertisements via Google AdMob, and to process the in-app purchase via Google Play Billing.com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID): Added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and used to serve advertisements. See Section 5 (Advertising) for details, including how to reset or delete this identifier. The App does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or any other sensitive device features.
QuickText WA is free for 30 days with no ads. After the trial, the app displays a small banner advertisement served by Google AdMob, and users may optionally watch a rewarded video ad to enjoy 3 ad-free days. To serve ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate (IP-based) location, app interaction and diagnostic data, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Advertising Policy. In the European Economic Area and the UK, a consent dialog is shown before any ad-related data is processed, as required by law. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings, and manage ad personalization at My Ad Center.
No advertisements are shown, and no ad-related data is collected, for users who have purchased "Remove ads".
A one-time "Remove ads" purchase is available through Google Play. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play; this app never receives your payment details. The purchase is linked to your Google account and is restored automatically if you reinstall the app or switch devices.
Except for the ad-related data shared with Google AdMob as described in Section 5 (Advertising), we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to any third parties. Since all other App data is stored locally on your device, we have no ability to access or share it.
All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete your data at any time by:
The date you first opened the app is stored on your device to measure the 30-day free trial. So that the trial continues correctly if you reinstall the app, this app participates in Android's standard Auto Backup: if Google Backup is enabled on your device, Android copies the app's saved data — the trial date, your settings, and your saved favorites, recent numbers and message templates — to your personal Google account (Google Drive backup) and restores it when you reinstall the app.
This backup is performed by the Android operating system, is encrypted, and is tied to your own Google account. We never receive it and cannot access it, and it is not sent to us or to any third party. Google's handling of it is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can disable it at any time in your device's Settings under System › Backup, and you can delete backed-up app data from your Google account at any time.
The App provides a backup/restore feature for favorites. When you use this feature, a JSON file is created and stored on your device storage. This file remains under your control and is not uploaded to any server.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is intended for general audiences and does not target children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your numbers, messages, favorites and templates are stored on your device and are never sent to us. The security of that data therefore depends on your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption, etc.), and, if you have Google Backup enabled, on the security of your Google account. Data sent by the advertising SDK is transmitted to Google over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
